Have you checked out 'stuff white people like'? Its a funny look at North American society. I am ashamed of how close to home it comes sometimes, but no matter what its usually hilarious! (There's a book available in addition to the blog!)

#120 is about how white people like to take a year off periodically in life. Sometimes they serve or volunteer in order to pad their resume during this 'year off'.... :) hhaaahhhaaa.
